Samoa Joe is one of the most destructive forces in the world of sports entertainment at the moment. He has proven himself to be a fierce competitor in the ring.
What makes Samoa Joe so popular is his insane striking ability. Apart from this, he is the perfect combination of size and agility. He also has a well-like moveset with one of the most dangerous finishes, the muscle buster.
One of Joe’s popular moves is the infamous ‘nope’ spot where he just walks away as his opponent is diving at him. Although this is a well-known move by Joe, he sparked some buzz when his opponent looked at him in confusion when Joe stepped aside during their encounter in November.
During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Joe explained why he performed the infamous ‘nope’ spot.
“As a small youth in my younger days, if I saw something large or very destructive coming toward me, it was only natural to step aside. It’s not rocket science. The cavemen understood this, too. If you see a rock coming toward you from the top of the hill, move a little to the left.”
Samoa Joe won the AEW World Championship from MJF at AEW World’s End. Since then, he has defended the title in a dominant fashion against Hook. It remains to be seen who will be able to defeat Samoa Joe for the World Title.
