A potential interpromotional surprise has been revealed for tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble event in St. Petersburg, Florida.
As the 2024 Royal Rumble event is set to unfold, with both the men’s and women’s Rumble matches taking place, reports suggest that WWE is once again opening the Forbidden Door.
According to PWInsider Elite, current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace is expected to make a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble match. WWE sources have indicated that an agreement was reached between WWE and TNA for her appearance.
Jordynne Grace is set to be billed as the ‘Knockouts World Champion’ and will feature her TNA theme song and video graphics as part of her presentation.
It’s important to note that this appearance marks Grace’s WWE debut. However, she remains signed to a long-term deal with TNA, so it should not be construed as her departure from TNA to join WWE. Instead, it appears to be a creative move by WWE to provide an unexpected and exciting moment for the audience, similar to when Mickie James entered the 2022 Women’s Rumble match as the reigning Knockouts Champion.
As a reminder, Ringside will will be providing live play-by-play coverage of the event in our WWE Royal Rumble hub. Coverage will kick off at 7PM ET with the pre-show kickoff and we will be providing any late breaking, news, rumors or spoilers headed into the show.
