Logan Paul has been holding the coveted title of United States Champion for two months now and it was then confirmed on SmackDown that Kevin Owens will be his first challenger at the Royal Rumble. Before the event, he ended up having a brief interaction with CM Punk as well.
CM Punk is set to make his televised in-ring return in the 30-man match on Saturday, marking 10 years since he walked out of WWE. WWE’s YouTube channel has been sharing videos depicting Punk’s preparations for his comeback leading up to the event.
In the latest video, CM Punk was shown at the Performance Center training facility in Orlando, Florida, where he trained with various stars. During this, he received positive feedback from the United States Champion Logan Paul, regarding his promo with Cody Rhodes on this week’s RAW.
“You and Cody were great,” Paul said, prompting Punk to reply, “Oh, thank you, appreciate it.”
Logan Paul has also been training with an absent WWE Superstar in preparation for his Royal Rumble match against Kevin Owens. We’ll have to see how he will fare in his first United States Title defence at the Royal Rumble on January 27th.
As a reminder, Ringside will be providing live play-by-play coverage of the event in our WWE Royal Rumble hub. Coverage will kick off at 7PM ET with the pre-show kickoff and we will be providing any late breaking, news, rumors or spoilers headed into the show.
