The Rock has been a part of some of the most enthralling and dream showdowns at WrestleMania. The Great One is potentially eyeing one more at this year’s Show of Shows and despite the reported willingness to do it, he is yet to officially say yes.

As it is well known by now, there have been multiple speculations regarding a potential dream match between the Samoan megastars and cousins, The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

The rumors have been further ignited with The Rock dropping various hints, from his appearance on WWE RAW’s Day 1 edition namedropping Reigns to continuously mentioning the potential bout in many interviews.

However, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has stated that the People’s Champion is yet to officially sign on the dotted line to compete inside the WWE squared circle.

Meltzer also highlighted that a WWE personnel noted that The Rock was headstrong about going to war with his iconic cousin, The Tribal Chief, recently calling it the greatest WrestleMania main event of all time if it were to happen.

“One person in the company noted that Johnson was “headstrong” about wrestling Reigns at WrestleMania.”

With The Rock already onboard with WWE’s parent entity, TKO as the Board of Directors, it will be interesting to see his involvement in the television product as the road to WrestleMania is approaching its flag-off.
