Pat McAfee Teases Returning to WWE Commentary

Pat McAfee is one of the most charismatic personalities to sign with the WWE in recent years. Right from his initial days in NXT where he also performed in the ring, McAfee has proven to be entertaining.

When he moved to the main roster, McAfee served as the commentator for SmackDown, a role in which he excelled. As a commentator, McAfee breathed a breadth of fresh air into the WWE commentary that was much needed at the time.

Unfortunately for fans, McAfee left that role to go on and shoot for ESPN College GameDay and Kevin Patrick took his place on air. However, it was recently reported that Kevin Patrick was suddenly released from the company. This left a commentary spot vacant with rumors circulating that Pat McAfee could be returning back to WWE soon.

Pat McAfee also teased a potential return to the commentary booth when he asked if there was a commentary spot that opened up on SmackDown.

“SmackDown, I heard there’s a commentary spot opened up, huh?”

Fans will surely be ecstatic when Pat McAfee returns to do commentary for the blue brand once again. With everything that’s been going on, WWE needs to make this happen.
