GUNTHER Contemplates Relinquishing Intercontinental Title Upon World Title Victory

GUNTHER has been the most dominant Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. Since winning the title, he has defeated everybody who stepped up to him and has proved his dominance in the ring.

With the Royal Rumble looming around the corner, GUNTHER showed up on WWE RAW this past Monday and confronted Seth Rollins. He made his intentions clear that he will be coming for Rollins if he wins the Royal Rumble match.

If GUNTHER does manage to win the World Title, then that would make his a double champion in WWE. GUNTHER recently spoke to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp about the possibility of him becoming a double champion and whether he will vacate the Intercontinental Championship upon winning the World Title.

“There is a point to the challenge (of defending both). I haven’t really thought about it. It’s a decision that has to be made. I have to start thinking. It’s a sensible topic. On one hand, the challenge is very interesting. On the other hand, I don’t know if it does the title justice if it’s a side project. We will see.”

GUNTHER will have his chance to punch his ticket to WrestleMania at the 2024 Royal Rumble. After last year’s dominant performance, he will be looking to top that one up with another powerful performance.
