AEW made a strong debut in 2019, reaching its peak after All Out 2021 and gaining momentum to dominate the pro wrestling world. However, the company is currently facing challenges, including difficulties in selling tickets for their shows. Additionally, an unflattering photo from a recent Dynamite episode has surfaced online, reflecting the current struggles for the promotion.
The January 24th, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite was held at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. The venue has a maximum capacity of 9500 but they were scaled for 2,457, out of which they sold 2,187 as pointed out by WrestleTix.
The AEW Botches Twitter account took to the social media platform and uploaded an unflattering photo of this week’s AEW Dynamite, which showed a ton of empty seats in the arena.
Some believe that AEW’s choice of larger venues than necessary has led to unflattering photos, highlighting concerns. There is hope for AEW’s recovery from the current challenges, with the expectation that the company will return to its original state.
There is also concern that AEW is reaching WCW 2000’s level of attendance for their live shows. Therefore, the current situation appears less than favorable for Tony Khan’s company.
