For the better part of 2023, LA Knight was the biggest star in WWE. He got a lot of positive reactions from the crowd and was often compared to The Rock. His rise in popularity even earned him an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel.
However, the tide slowly started shifting towards the end of the year as CM Punk made his return to the WWE. Suddenly, Punk was the talk of the town and he was getting all the attention. If that wasn’t enough The Rock returned a couple of weeks ago and teased a potential match with Roman Reigns.
This has led many to believe that LA Knight is no longer the most popular Superstar in the company. During a recent interview with The West Sport, Knight was asked about CM Punk and The Rock’s potentially appearing at Elimination Chamber. Knight replied that he is focused on his own thing and has no idea what to expect from them at Elimination Chamber.
“I stay laser-focused on my own thing. Maybe that’s ignorance or maybe it’s me not caring about anybody else. I have no idea what to expect as far as anybody else coming over there. All I know is that I will be at Elimination Chamber and it’s going to be a big show. At the end of the day, I’m looking at, after Royal Rumble, coming into Elimination Chamber as your WWE Champion.”
LA Knight is set to compete in the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles at the 2024 Royal Rumble which will take place this weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida.
