John Laurinaitis was the former Head of Talent Relations of WWE and made headlines after he was allegedly involved in Vince McMahon’s hush money settlement scandal. It all came crashing down right after that in a huge way as he was let go by WWE. Now it appears he has also been named in the latest trafficking lawsuit involving Vince McMahon.
Vince McMahon faces accusations of sexual trafficking and other misconduct from former WWE employee Janel Grant. In her lawsuit, Grant alleges McMahon shared explicit content of her without consent, involving other WWE employees, unnamed executives, and stars, directing her to engage in sexual activities with them.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Grant’s lawsuit against McMahon includes allegations of him sending sexually explicit messages, escalating demands for sex, and engaging in forceful and injurious sexual activities. McMahon is also accused of sharing explicit content of Grant with other WWE executives and wrestlers.
The suit claims McMahon recruited others within WWE, such as John Laurinaitis, to have sex with Grant. Additionally, it alleges McMahon contributed to Grant’s deteriorating mental and physical health, sending her to a “celebrity doctor” and covering the cost of surgery. McMahon also paid $20,000 to a surgeon on her behalf.
In May 2021, McMahon allegedly transferred Janel Grant to the talent-relations department, reporting to John Laurinaitis, claiming her presence in the legal department hindered hiring a new general counsel. McMahon and Laurinaitis promised a future promotion to vice president.
The suit alleges McMahon controlled both Grant’s professional and personal life, subjecting her to degradation. In a June 2021 encounter at the WWE office, McMahon and Laurinaitis allegedly forced themselves on her, taking turns restraining her while making explicit remarks.
”McMahon controlled her professional and personal lives and subjected her to degradation, according to the suit. In the June 2021 encounter inside the WWE office, the suit said McMahon and Laurinaitis forced themselves on her and took turns restraining her for the other, while saying “No means yes” and “Take it, b—.”
