AJ Styles Looks Forward to a Potential Rematch with John Cena

In 2016, AJ Styles shocked the world when he showed up at the Royal Rumble. It was hailed as one of the greatest Royal Rumble moments in history. Soon after arriving in WWE, Styles was immediately put in the ring with the company’s top stars leading to many dream matches.

One of those dream matches was against John Cena. Many people thought this match would never happen because both men wrestled for different promotions throughout their respective careers.

When the two men finally locked up in the ring, the chemistry was undeniable. Styles and Cena put on some incredible matches. Now many years removed from their storied rivalry, Cena is at the tail end of his career while Styles is still going strong in the ring.

AJ Styles recently appeared on the Reality of Wrestling channel where he admitted that he wants another match with Cena since it was fun getting in the ring with him.

“I think there’s a lot of us that would like to mix it up with Cena one last time and I’m definitely one of those guys. We had some chemistry that I can’t explain. Maybe it’s opposites attract, I guess you’d say, and me and John are definitely that kind of dance partners where, you know, it was always fun getting in the ring with him. It was always big, it was always special, and it was always great. So I look forward to hopefully, before he retires, jumping in the ring with him one more time.”

AJ Styles is set for the biggest match of his career this Saturday at the Royal Rumble when he takes on Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and LA Knight for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
