Orange Cassidy has proven himself to be a fighting champion ever since he won the AEW International Championship. In his first title reign, Cassidy defended the title almost every week against anyone who wanted a shot at it. His second reign is no different either.
Cassidy has been a workhorse champion in AEW and continues to defend his title whenever he can. But, Orange Cassidy may be in for the biggest test of his title reign.
When the Undisputed Kingdom came together, they had one purpose and that was to win all the titles in the company. The Kingdom had already won the ROH Tag Team Tiles from MJF. Now, Roderick Strong wants to be next in line to win a title and he has indicated that he has his eyes set on the AEW International Champion.
Cassidy being the fighting champion that he is was willing to face Strong last week but Strong wanted to wait till AEW Revolution. Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Cassidy was interviewed by Renee Paquette where he agreed to face Strong for the AEW International Championship at Revolution.
Cassidy also said that he spoke to Tony Khan about having a number one contender’s match where the winner will face him for the title at this week’s episode of Collision.
AEW Revolution is set to take place on March 2nd at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live play-by-play coverage of the show.
