After achieving considerable success in NJPW over the past several years, Kazuchika Okada is set to part ways with the promotion later this month. He is still competing in a few matches before he’s done for good and now Okada bid a tearful farewell to his fans during the recent NJPW event.

As reported earlier, Kazuchika Okada is set to become free agent at the end of January. The promotion has now officially confirmed that Okada will be parting ways with the company after this month.

During the Road to The New Beginning event, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii defended the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team titles against TMDK’s Mikey Nicholls, Shane Haste, and Kosei Fujita.

Okada’s team would successfully retain their titles when all was said and done. Afterwards, The Rainmaker cut an emotional promo on a crowd, as he thanked Korakuen Hall for supporting him over the last 17 years. This marked his final appearance in the legendary Japanese venue.
