A former AEW wrestler was spotted backstage during the recent TNA tapings in Orlando, Florida.
As reported earlier, the TNA tapings held on Friday and Saturday saw the presence of several free agents, including Mason Madden (Mace), Mansoor, and Alex Zayne. Additionally, these tapings marked the debut of Big Damo.
According to Fightful Select, Shawn Spears was also in attendance at the TNA tapings, likely due to his connection to the Florida area. The report mentioned that Spears and Scott D’Amore had a 20-minute conversation at the Gorilla position. It’s worth noting that Shawn Spears left AEW officially in 2023 after a successful four-year tenure.
“Former AEW talent Shawn Spears, formerly known as Tye Dillinger was also at this past weekend’s tapings. Spears is from the area and was seen backstage. However, we’re told that several saw him with Scott D’Amore for about 20 minutes at Gorilla position as well.”
“TNA has a big roster turnover in the last couple of months, as Trinity, Deonna Purrazzo and Sami Callihan have left TNA/IMPACT since the start of October, and they’ve added Nic Nemeth and Ash by Elegance.”
Should Spears decide to join TNA, he would become another seasoned veteran on their roster, alongside Ash By Elegance (formerly known as Dana Brooke) and Nic Nemeth (formerly known as Dolph Ziggler).
