Butch was left without a tag team partner after Ridge Holland walked out on him during the November 24th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. That changed after Tyler Bate joined him earlier this month. Now, Pete Dunne broke his silence after he got his name back.

During the January 19th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Pretty Deadly took on the team of Tyler Bate and Butch. Bate, who recently debuted on the main roster, partnered with Butch.

After Tyler Bate made his entrance, it was Pete Dunne, not “Butch,” who came out. Just to clarify, “Butch” was a name given to Dunne upon joining the main roster in March 2022. He has been wrestling under the name Pete Dunne, and with his old theme song making a return along with a remix, he has resurrected the Bruiserweight character.

Following the conclusion of Friday Night SmackDown, Pete Dunne took to Twitter and broke his silence after getting his name back, making it clear that Pete Dunne was not dead.
