AEW Collision Results (1/20/2024):

The opening package for the show airs.

Jon Moxley vs. Shane Taylor

Jon Moxley’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. Shane Taylor’s theme song plays and he walks to the ring with Lee Moriarty.

The match begins and both men exchange strikes. Moxley with vicious chops to Taylor. Taylor knocks him down. He attacks Moxley in the corner. Moxley tries to fight back but Taylor stops him. Taylor goes for a corner splash and misses. Taylor knocks Moxley out of the ring.

Moxley sends Taylor into the steel steps. He sends Taylor into the ring. Lee Moriarty with a pump kick to Moxley. Moxley gets back in the ring and Taylor hits a side slam. Cover! 1….2…kick out. Shane goes to work on Moxley. Taylor climbs the second rope and goes for a splash and misses.

Both men exchange strikes. Moxley hits a cutter on Taylor. Moxley attacks Taylor in the corner. Taylor hits a side suplex on Moxley but he comes back with a side suplex and follows it with a lariat. Taylor comes back with a lariat.

Shane slams Moxley but he locks him in the triangle. Taylor powers out of it and attacks Moxley who returns with the anvil elbows. Moxley with a running knee. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Both men exchange strikes. Moxley with a bulldog choke and he passes out.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley gets on the mic and says he is pissed off beyond belief and he is hungry beyond belief. He says he is not taking any c**p from anybody and anybody who wants to step into the ring with him has to keep up.

Adam Copeland vs. Dante Martin

Adam Copeland’s music plays and he walks to the ring. Top Flight’s music plays and Dante Martin comes down to the ring.

The match starts and Copeland knocks down Martin. Dante comes back with a couple of arm drags. He goes to work on Copeland. Copeland attacks Dante in the corner. Copeland climbs the top rope and goes for a crossbody and misses. Dante hits a senton on him. Cover! 1….2…..kick out. Dante Martin is knocked off the apron.

*Commercial break*

Copeland goes to work on Dante. Dante with an enzuigiri. Dante is sent to the apron. Copeland goes for a spear but Dante moves aside and kicks him. Copeland goes for a powerbomb but Dante stops him and hits a hurricanrana. Dante goes for a suicide dive. He sends Copeland into the ring and hits a crossbody. Cover! 1….2….kick out.

Copeland fights back with an impaler DDT. Copeland goes for a spear and misses. Dante hits a springboard moonsault. Cover! 1…..2…..ropebreak. Dante climbs the top rope but is stopped. Dante with the sunset flip powerbomb. Cover! 1….2….kick out.

Dante goes for a dive but Copeland spears him. Copeland locks in the crossface and Dante taps out.

Winner: Adam Copeland

Tony Schiavone interviews Copeland who says it is getting harder every week. He gives credit to Dante Martin. He says the young hungry guys have been stepping up to him. He says he is going to keep coming out and work hard just like Christian Cage said he was going to when he came to AEW. He says he is going to keep working until he wins the TNT Championship. He says he will be TNT Championship the next time they come back to this city.

Lexy interviews Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli. Bryan says losing to Kingston was the low point of his career but it was the high point of Eddie’s career. He says that doesn’t make him great. Claudio says he doesn’t want to talk about Eddie. He says Ortiz is gonna be a casualty tonight.

Lexy interviews Top Flight and Action Andretti. Private Party interrupts them and says they beat Top Flight. Action says they used the rope to win. Quen says he tripped. Cassidy says they should party with Copeland. Darrius challenges them to another match and Private Party accepts.

Thunder Rosa vs. Queen Aminata

Thunder Rosa’s music hits and she walks out to the ring. Queen Aminata’s theme song plays and she comes out to the ring.

The match starts and Rosa knocks down Aminata and goes to work on her. Rosa with a shoulder tackle. Aminata comes back with a backbreaker. Aminata drives her knees into the stomach of Rosa.

Rosa returns with a tiharas sending Aminata out of the ring. Rosa then hits her with a dropkick.

*Commercial break*

Aminata attacks Rosa in the corner and goes to work on her. Both women exchange strikes. Aminata hits a snapmare and kicks her in the back. Aminata hits the hip attack on Rosa. She goes for a running and misses. Rosa attacks Aminata in the corner. Rosa with a running dropkick. Rosa with a Northern Lights suplex.

Aminata headbutts Rosa and hits the air raid crash. Cover! 1…..2….kick out. Aminata with a pump kick. Rosa returns with a dropkick. Thunder Rosa hits the Tihuana bomb for the win.

Winner: Thunder Rosa

Lexy interviews Eddie Kingston and Ortiz. Ortiz says it has been a while since they teamed but because families fight. He says Bryan and Claudio is not family. Eddie asks if they can get going and he leaves. Ortiz says Kingston does his best talking in the ring.

*Commercial break*

Bullet Club Gold’s music plays and they come out to the ring. Colten gets on the mic and says they have come back on Saturday. White says it’s a different vibe with them back on Saturday. White says something is missing still. Austin goes out of the ring and gets cardboard Juice from under the ring. Austin says they are the best trio in the world.

The Acclaimed’s music plays and they come out. Billy Gunn says they are out here to congratulate them. He says they can do so much more. Max Caster says it is a whole different game to stay at the top and proposes they team up. He says they will be unstoppable in the ring. He says the fans want to see Billy Gunn win singles gold.

Caster says the fans want to see both teams with tag titles. He says the fans want to see White as World Champion. The fans chant Bang Bang Super Gang. Anthony Bowens says he wants an answer now. He says this could be them every week. White stops the Gunns from scissoring and they discuss about it. They scissor in the ring.

A video plays from Dynamite of Toni Storm who says she knows Deonna Purrazo. She says she remembers their times together in Japan. She says she will meet and greet her and then beat her and eat her.

Buddy Matthews vs. Daniel Garcia

Buddy Matthews’ music plays and he comes out to the ring with Malakai Black and Brody King. Daniel Garcia’s theme song hits and he comes down to the ring. FTR’s music plays and they come down to the ring.

The match starts and Buddy knocks down Garcia. Buddy knocks Garcia out of the ring. He gets back in the ring. Garcia knocks Buddy out of the ring. House of Black and FTR get on the apron.

*Commercial break*

Buddy hits him with a jumping knee. Garcia comes back with a pedigree on the apron. Both men get back into the ring. Garcia attacks Buddy in the corner. He slams Buddy’s knee against the post. Garcia locks in the figure four leg lock around the apron for a couple of seconds. Garcia locks in the sharpshooter but Buddy powers out of it.

Buddy with a jumping knee. He does it again and hits a jackhammer. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Buddy with a knee strike and he goes for a powerbomb but Garcia rolls him up for the win.

Winner: Daniel Garcia

After the match, House of Black gets in the ring and a brawl breaks out as FTR also gets involved. The AEW locker room comes out to break up the brawl.

FTR are backstage with Daniel Garcia. Dax says this has been going on for so long but this will end next week in a steel cage.

Roderick Strong vs. Matt Sydal

Roderick Strong’s music plays and he comes down to the ring with the Kingdom. Matt Sydal’s theme song hits and he comes down to the ring.

The match starts and Strong takes down Sydal and goes to work on him. Strong knocks him down but Sydal comes back with a hurricanrana and a spin kick. Sydal dives onto Strong outside the ring.

*Commercial break*

Strong hits a backbreaker. Cover! 1….2….Kick out. Sydal fights back and hits a hurricanrana. Sydal with a kick to Strong. He his a spinning heel kick. Sydal with the meteora off the top rope. Cover! 1….2…..kick out.

Sydal hits the air raid crash. Cover! 1….2…kick out. Strong fights back and hits the end of heartache for the win.

Eddie Kingston & Ortiz vs. Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli

Bryan Danielson’s music plays and he comes down to the ring with Claudio Castagnoli. Eddie Kingston’s music hits and he comes out with Ortiz.

The match starts with Kingston and Bryan in the ring. Bryan knocks Eddie down. Eddie with a snapmare takedown and he chops him. Kingston tags out and they hit a suplex. Claudio tags in and attacks Ortiz in the corner. He hits Ortiz with an uppercut.

Ortiz comes back with a dropkick. Claudio hits him with a running uppercut and Byran hits a running dropkick.

*Commercial break*

Claudio with the giant swing on Ortiz. He tags out and Bryan kicks him in the chest multiple times. Both men tag out. Kingston and Claudio exchange strikes. Claudio slaps Kingston but he comes back with multiple chops in the corner. Kingston with the exploder suplex. Cover! 1….2….kick out.

Claudio hits back elbow and follows it with a lariat. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Claudio tags out and hits a flying headbutt. Claudio takes out Ortiz. Claudio and Bryan attack Kingston.

Kingston sends Claudio into the post. He hits Bryan with a DDT. Kingston tags out and they double-team Bryan. Cover! 1….2…Claudio makes the save. Eddie and Ortiz send Claudio out of the ring. Ortiz and Eddie dive onto their opponents. Ortiz sends Bryan into the ring.

Bryan locks in the Lebell lock and Ortiz gets to the rope. Bryan stomps Ortiz. Bryan hits the Busaiku knee for the win.

Winner: Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli
