CM Punk Responds To Randy Orton Saying Survivor Series Return Took The Wind Out His Own WWE Comeback

CM Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series this year, and that was a big surprise. Now, we are looking at his future in WWE, but he has heard the things that were said about his comeback. Now, Punk is reacting to what Randy Orton said.

CM Punk responded on social media to Randy Orton’s recent comments regarding Punk’s return to WWE. Numerous WWE stars have expressed varied opinions on Punk’s comeback since his surprising return at Survivor Series in November, and the Apex Predator was just one of them.

Randy Orton also made a comeback at Survivor Series, participating in the main event WarGames match after an 18-month absence from action. Orton shared his thoughts on WWE The Bump about CM Punk, revealing that the advance announcement for Survivor Series, amid Punk’s return rumors, took some excitement away.

“For a month prior, there [were] all these rumors online that I was coming back.But there [were] also rumors online that CM Punk was coming back. Instead of it being a surprise that it was me instead of Punk, they let everyone know the week prior. … [It] kind of let the wind out of my sails a little bit.”

That being said, Randy Orton acknowledged their great reactions and maturely recognized that neither of them stepped on each other’s toes. Punk saw this, and he shared WWE’s link to Orton’s interview on his Instagram Story, adding a sticker to show love to Randy Orton. That hugging bear sticker Punk put on the story should send a message.

Despite CM Punk’s appearances at two house shows during the 2023 holiday tour, he is gearing up for his WWE television in-ring return at the upcoming Royal Rumble match. Those two matches against Dominik Mysterio on December 26th and 30th are just the beginning.

Perhaps Randy Orton and CM Punk will meet in the ring so they can hash things out. Only time will tell if there is real resentment there, but they could certainly make it seem like it with the proper angle.
