Charlotte Flair faced Asuka on December 8th, 2023 in a solid match on Friday Night SmackDown. Unfortunately, she suffered a serious knee injury and required surgery for the same. Now, she provided a positive update on her recovery progress after surgery.
Charlotte Flair would undergo surgery on January 5th and has since been recovering at home. Naturally, fans are disappointed she isn’t competing in the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event this year and the fact that she will miss out on WrestleMania 40 this year as well.
The 37-year-old shared a positive update on her Instagram story, revealing that 11 days after surgery, she had her stitches removed. She showcased improved range of motion in a video, highlighting her ongoing recovery from the injury.
“I got my stitches out today.”
Charlotte Flair faces a potentially lengthy recovery from her recent injury, but she’s receiving strong support at home with her husband Andrade by her side.
Ric Flair also revealed how Charlotte Flair’s injury put an emotional strain on her. It remains to be seen whether the 14-time Women’s Champion will be able to make her in-ring return ahead of schedule.
