Lexis King has been part of the NXT family for a few months now and is already making an impact, slowly but surely. King certainly got paid well enough for his run in AEW and current NXT run, as he revealed that he does drive a Lexus car.
Lexis King underwent a noteworthy transformation following his rise to stardom in NXT, attracting both attention and criticism. In addition to this, Lexis King playfully engaged with his fanbase, ultimately naming them “Intellexuals” after careful consideration. Despite mixed reactions, he is rapidly gaining popularity and building a dedicated fanbase.
While speaking on Insight with Chris Vlan Vliet, Lexis King revealed that he is a huge fan of cars, having grown up on the Fast and Furious movies, Need For Speed and more. He especially loves Japanese automobiles.
Lexis King then revealed that he does drive a Lexus car, which he feels is simply perfect considering his NXT name. King revealed that he drives a Lexus 2004, IS 300 with 30,000 miles on it.
”Yeah I’m actually a car guy. I grew up on the Fast and Furious movies, Need For Speed and all that stuff. I love Japanese automobiles, particularly between 1999 and 2005. So when I got the name Lexis I thought man, we got a creative thing here. I could be a Lexis in a Lexus.”
“So my Lexus is 2004, IS 300 with 30,000 miles on it. The previous owner took great care of it. I traded in my Toyota FJ Cruiser on it, so it had 1,37000 miles, so I ended up making money and getting real good deal and lowering my payment, insurance and everything. And now I have a car with a 1,00,000 miles less than the previous car.”
Lexis King also got his first piece of NXT merchandise recently, but also admitted that he had a lot of self-doubts during his time in AEW. As 2024 unfolds, only time will reveal whether Lexis King will emerge as a breakout star this year, following in the footsteps of the success achieved by Tiffany Stratton in the past year.
