Kazuchika Okada and TNA did not have the best of relationships back in the day, but he finally made his return during the TNA Snake Eyes taping. Now, Okada made it clear that he doesn’t actually hate TNA.
In 2010 and 2011, Kazuchika Okada ventured to the United States and joined TNA, adopting the name Okata which was inspired by ‘The Green Hornet.’ Unfortunately, his stint was a disaster, leading to a strained relationship between NJPW and TNA Wrestling for an extended period.
Okada previously stated that he couldn’t care less about TNA. Nonetheless, he returned to TNA at TNA Snake Eyes on January 14. Okada partnered up with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin to face Moose, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards.
Following the conclusion of the match, The Rainmaker addressed the crowd in attendance. The multi-tie World Champion stated that he did not genuinely hate TNA at all.
“Thank you. Many people ask me, ‘Why you hate TNA?’ But I don’t hate TNA. Thank you, TNA. TNA made me not Rainmaker…. But good thing for me. Thank you, TNA.”
Fans are glad to see that Kazuchika Okada has a better opinion of TNA now, as the company has officially ushered in a new age for themselves. We’ll have to wait and see if Okada will return to TNA again one day.
