Matt Riddle has been on a role after his WWE firing, as The Original Bro made his NJPW debut at Battle In The Valley this week. Not only that, he ended up reforming his iconic tag team ‘The Chosen Bros’ with Jeff Cobb.

During the NJPW Battle In The Valley event at San Jose Civic Center in San Jose, California, Matt Riddle and a mystery partner were set to face off against Bad Dude Tito & Zack Sabre Jr.

The mystery partner turned out to be none other than Jeff Cobb, one of Riddle’s long-time partners during their run in PWG several years ago. Fans were on their feet after Cobb made his entrance to be at Riddle’s side.

In the end, ‘The Chosen Bros’ reigned supreme in their first match together after years, laying waste to TMDK. This marked Matt Riddle’s NJPW debut and it was already a successful endeavour.

Matt Riddle is also set to challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi for the NJPW World Television Championship at the upcoming New Beginning in Sapporo show on February 23rd. We’ll have to wait and see if Riddle will be able to dethrone Tanahashi for the title.
