AEW fans were a bit shocked to see Jack Perry show up at the Battle in the Valley event. He also sent a very bold message to Tony Khan’s company in the process.
Jack Perry was suspended from AEW after his involvement with Brawl In. CM Punk was fired, and he’s already in WWE once again. Now, we have a lot more to unpack in this situation.
NJPW’s Battle in the Valley went down on January 13th, and it featured a surprise debut by Jack Perry. During the event, he made an unexpected entrance by attacking Shota Umino.
After Jack Perry was done with Shota Umino, he redirected his aggression towards his own AEW contract On camera, he tore up his AEW contract.
It was also noted that Jack Perry wore an armband that said: “Scapegoat.” This was a very interesting message for him to relay, especially considering his AEW situation.
Jack Perry was suspended for his participation in Brawl In, a fight that saw CM Punk fired from AEW. Despite Punk’s WWE return, and so much going on since then, Perry has not returned to AEW television.
We will have to see what happens next in this situation. Jack Perry certainly made a lot of noise at NJPW’s event, and now fans are wondering if this will continue playing out on AEW television.
