Allegations of misconduct involving Chris Jericho and his interactions with Kylie Rae have become a major topic of discussion for the past few weeks. AEW took precautions against this by trying to suppress fans booing him on Dynamite this past week. Now, AEW has been called out for piping in crowd reactions for Jericho on Collision this week.
This week’s episode of AEW Collision featured a lot of solid in-ring action but Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara were also on the show, ahead of their AEW Tag Team Title match at Battle of The Belts IX.
During an interview segment featuring Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara, the duo hyped up their title match later in the night. However, those who were watching the show noticed a constant stream of cheers, which felt quite odd for those who know how Jericho is perceived lately.
Fans took to Twitter and called out AEW for piping in crowd reactions for Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara. Many felt the company was simply trying to avoid a situation that should have been directly addressed.
AEW also recently suppressed comments about Chris Jericho’s allegations. Nonetheless, fans are still baffled why AEW is trying to avoid the elephant in the room when it comes to Jericho’s reception. Only time will tell whether AEW will eventually do something.
