Injuries are commonplace in the world of professional wrestling as they could happen at any time. However, they aren’t limited to just pro wrestlers as even referees could get hurt. That seems to be the case for WWE referee Jason Ayers.

WWE referee Jason Ayers recently posted on Facebook, indicating that he would be out of action for 4-6 weeks due to a leg injury. In his post, Ayers included a photo that humorously mentioned, “This department has worked 0 days without injury.” However, he later deleted the post, though it had already garnered reactions and comments from people.

In his now-deleted post, Ayers wrote, “When they say ‘break a leg,’ I guess they didn’t mean literally. See y’all in 4-6 weeks.”

This news comes amid a period where several wrestlers and personnel in WWE have faced injuries or injury scares. Cora Jade suffered an injury during an NXT live event, and there was also an injury scare during a recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown with both Austin Aries and Carmelo Hayes, whom both suffered concussions.

The reason for Jason Ayers deleting his post is unknown, but fans hope for his swift recovery and return to his referee duties. Ayers is clearly dedicated to his career, and the wrestling community wishes him well during his recovery.
