NJPW’s Battle in the Valley went down on January 13th. This included a surprise debut for Jack Perry. He made this surprise debut as he attacked Shota Umino.
After Jack Perry did his damage to Shota Umino, he turned his aggression toward his own AEW contract. This was probably the biggest surprise in the entire segment.
Jack Perry pulled out his AEW contract and ripped it up on camera. We will have to see what happens next, but this development certainly hints at the idea that he is no longer with Tony Khan’s company.
AEW has been pulling some very strange contract moves, especially with their on-screen stories. MJF’s name was removed from their official roster, when it is thought that he re-signed with AEW in 2022. Now, Jack Perry’s contract situation has a big question mark above it on top of that.
