Impact Wrestling is rebranding themselves to TNA Wrestling, and that will come with some new faces coming in. Now, we have new information about one name’s contract situation.
Alex Hammerstone became a free agent on January 1st, and he had no trouble getting booked. He got a marquee match at TNA Hard To Kill against Josh Alexander. This led to natural questions about his contract status with the company.
According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Hammerstone has not inked any kind of TNA Wrestling deal at this time. His Hard To Kill appearance will be a one-off deal.
“We’ve learned that as of last week, Hammerstone hasn’t signed a full-time deal with TNA, but there have been discussions regarding that possibility. We have learned that there are some upcoming TNA signings to be announced that they’ve been working on, however. Some of which are already booked for this weekend’s event.”
TNA Wrestling Hard to Kill may be an important event for the company’s history. Only time will tell what they do to grab headlines, but you know that they need as much attention as they rebrand themselves as possible.
Hammerstone may be a great addition to the TNA Wrestling roster. It remains to be seen if they make his participation in the company official on paper, because contracts aren’t official until they’re signed.
