AEW fans haven’t seen Goldberg’s debut yet, but it may be only a matter of time before that happens. They haven’t closed the door on the idea.

Goldberg has a lot of fans who want to see him wrestle again. He never got that retirement match in WWE, but you never know if something is possible for AEW.

Sean Sapp opened up about Goldberg on his Fightful Select podcast. He was asked about Goldberg possibly appearing for AEW. At this time, the door hasn’t been closed completely, but it hasn’t happened yet.

“Every time I ask, I would be told not right now. Not right now. Definitely didn’t close the door on it. He’s not getting any younger, however I don’t know how young you need to be to do a Goldberg match.”

Goldberg wanted to be a part of Sting’s retirement match. That hasn’t been booked yet, and it appears that it’s not going to be. Ringside News exclusively reported last year that the feeling amongst staff was that he was headed to AEW and there were no plans for him to return to WWE.

Only time will tell if Goldberg ends up in AEW in some way to pay tribute to the Stinger. We will keep our eye on this story right here at Ringside News. You never know what can happen next, especially with so much going on in the pro wrestling world.
