Snoop Dogg has a long-standing connection to professional wrestling and showcased his love for the business at WrestleMania 39. Leading up to WrestleMania 40, it seems that his golden WWE Title is now in the possession of the Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty.
The rapper received the golden WWE Championship from Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch at the WrestleMania Launch Party at SoFi Stadium in August 2022. He brought it on the Holidaze of Blaze Tour “to show the fans how dope it is,” but it was then stolen.
Last year, the legendary rapper entrusted his golden WWE Championship to the Philadephia Eagles, as Jason Kelce and others were seen posing with the title and protecting it.
WWE took to Twitter and uploaded a video of the Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty, who happens to have Snoop Dogg’s golden WWE Championship. Gritty called out Snoop Dogg and noted that he would never give back the Championship.
”Attention @NHLFlyers fans! @GrittyNHL has the #WWEGoldenTitle AND a message for @SnoopDogg ahead of #WrestleMania in Philly 👀”
WrestleMania 40 will take over Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, April 6th, and Sunday, April 7th, 2024. The Showcase of the Immortals will undoubtedly bring a loaded two-night event to Philly, so we’ll have to see how this storyline progresses in the coming months.
