Ex-WWE Superstar Shuts Down Hope For Possible Royal Rumble Surprise

The Royal Rumble is going down on January 27th, and you never know what will happen at the show. That being said, one former star may have pulled herself out of the running for a possible surprise.

While Gail Kim has officially retired from regular competition, she has engaged in sporadic matches post-retirement, such as the Ten-Knockouts tag at IMPACT 1000. As the Royal Rumble season approaches and considering the past collaboration between IMPACT/TNA and WWE for Mickie James’ Royal Rumble appearance, Gail Kim was questioned about the prospect of making a similar appearance.

While speaking to Ring The Belle, Gail Kim stated that she is not set for the 2024 Royal Rumble event. Then again, anything can happen in pro wrestling.

“First off, I don’t think they would ask me [laughs], which is okay. You saw Mickie and what a great relationship. Scott D’Amore, as our leader in IMPACT, has done some amazing things. Whatever happens happens.”

We will have to see who surprises fans at the 2024 Royal Rumble event. You never know whose name will be called, but Gail Kim isn’t holding her breath about anything. Regarding Gail, never know if she will wrestle in WWE again, but her current status with TNA Wrestling may not allow for that.

Mickie James did make an appearance at the Royal Rumble as Knockouts Women’s Champion, so anything can happen in WWE. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News.
