It’s worth noting that Dragon Lee was initially set to team up with Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro of the LWO to take on the No Quarter Catch Club at last week’s NXT New Year’s Evil special. Unfortunately, visa issues forced him to withdraw from the match, leading to his replacement by Carlito.

Femi’s title victory holds a unique significance in WWE history. He is the first athlete to win a championship through WWE’s Next In Line program, marking a groundbreaking achievement in the company’s talent development initiatives. Furthermore, Femi also secured his place in history as the youngest NXT North American Champion at just 22 years old. The previous record holder was The Velveteen Dream, who captured the title in 2019 at the age of 23.
