Oba Femi Cashes In Contract To Win WWE NXT North American Title

Oba Femi won the Men’s Breakout Tournament, and he wanted to make a big impression. He was able to accomplish that in a big way on NXT this week.

The January 9th episode of WWE NXT brought a big main event match, as Dragon Lee defended against Lexis King. This was quite a return to NXT television for Dragon Lee, because he wasn’t able to make it to New Year’s Evil for his scheduled match.

Dragon Lee faced Lexis King in the main event match of this week’s NXT episode. He won that match, but his night was not over by a long shot.

Oba Femi won the Men’s Breakout Tournament. That gave him a guaranteed title shot, whenever he wanted one. He seized his opportunity, and came out strong.

Oba Femi came out with his guaranteed contract and cashed in on January 9th. After a very short contest, Oba Femi was able to break Dragon Lee and capture the NXT North American Title.

This week’s episode of NXT ended with Oba Femi raising the NXT North American Title high above his head in celebration. The NXT Universe was also in shock to see Dragon Lee lose his title in such a fashion.

Now, Oba Femi is the new NXT North American Champion, and the future is now for the latest Men’s Breakout Tournament winner. We will keep our eye on this story for more developments.
