LA Knight Superstar has organically gotten over with fans due to his ability to connect with the audience, which is why his feud with The Miz made sense on a surface level. However, Knight felt his feud with The Miz was some of the worst work he had ever done.
After receiving considerable support from fans, LA Knight embarked on his first significant singles program during the second half of 2023 as he feuded with The Miz. This marked a notable development since his previous feud with the late Bray Wyatt, which didn’t quite hit the mark.
LA Knight and The Miz had a lot of back-and-forth action on the microphone to develop their feud. This included the August 28 episode of Monday Night RAW, where The Miz impersonated Knight. The feud concluded after LA Knight beat The Miz at WWE Payback last year.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet of Insight, LA Knight talked about his program with The A-Lister. Knight noted that at least to him, the feud felt like some of the worst work he had done at that point in time.
“Miz was really bringing it to the point where like I remember a couple guys in the back just being like, ‘Wow, I feel like this is like the best work Miz has done’, and while coincidentally, I felt like I was some of the worst work I’d done in a while. […] I think [that feud] helped elevate us both in certain ways, because I mean, I think it brought out a passion [back] in him.”
LA Knight also accepted pay cut upon returning to WWE. Nonetheless, Knight has clearly moved onto bigger and better things since he has a huge title match coming up at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on January 27th, so we’ll have to see how he will perform in the match.
