Matt Riddle could have some serious options open for him in the pro wrestling and MMA world. He is getting his name back out there, and that includes getting his hands dirty in the ring once again. Now, we know when he is making his big NJPW debut.
NJPW has officially announced the upcoming in-ring debut of Matt Riddle. This follows Riddle’s recent challenge to the current NJPW WORLD TV Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi on January 5th.
NJPW has confirmed that Matt Riddle will participate in his inaugural in-ring appearance for the company at the upcoming Battle in the Valley event on January 13th. The event is going down in San Jose, California.
Matt Riddle is slated to team up with a yet-to-be-revealed partner to take on Zack Sabre Jr and Bad Dude Tito. We will have to see who NJPW picks to team with the Original Bro.
A major surprise at New Year Dash saw Matt Riddle emerge to issue a challenge to Hiroshi Tanahashi for an as yet unspecified date. Before that though, Riddle will make his in ring NJPW debut against a man he knows well, but hasn’t wrestled since way back in 2018- Zack Sabre Jr.
ZSJ will team up with Bad Dude Tito for this reunion, and a big match for Sabre ahead of his requested showdown with Bryan Danielson- but who does Riddle have in his own corner?
Matt Riddle made it clear that he harbors no ill-will over his WWE release. He understands the situation, and now he is onto his next challenge. That WWE departure was quite interesting, to say the least.
Some were shocked to see WWE terminate Matt Riddle’s contract due to a series of incidents that strained his relationship with the company. He burned too many chances with upper-management, and even those who previously defended him were unable to continue doing so.
