The Royal Rumble event is getting even more attention. Now, we have a few more names who are confirmed for the big over-the-top-rope match.
During WWE SmackDown on January 5th, two more WWE Superstars secured spots in the upcoming Royal Rumble matches. The event will go down at Tropicana Field on January 27th.
In an in-ring segment, Bobby Lashley announced his participation in the men’s Royal Rumble but faced an unexpected attack from Karrion Kross and the returning Authors of Pain. That marked AOP’s return to the blue brand, as they formed a new stable.
Bianca Belair declared her entry into the women’s Royal Rumble during a backstage segment while confronting Damage CTRL. We will have to see if the EST of WWE is able to win the big match.
As of this writing, the confirmed lineup for the women’s Royal Rumble now includes Bayley, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair. On the men’s side, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Bobby Lashley have joined the roster.
Later on in the show, the Undisputed Universal Title match was arranged for the Royal Rumble event. Roman Reigns will be defending his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship in a four-way bout against Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight.
