Matt Riddle was released from WWE in September 2023, but he promises an improved version of himself in 2024. That could come with some big changes, but he’s not going to stay looking back at the past.
Matt Riddle opened up to FOX News about his WWE release. He harbors no hard feelings after he was cut from WWE, and he seems that things happen for a reason.
He’s not going to dwell on any hard feelings at this point, because Matt Riddle is onto his next chapter. He made it clear that WWE is about money, and making more of it. Now, the Original Bro will carry on after WWE.
“No, I have no hard feelings. And I would just say, with WWE, they run a ship, they run it a certain way, and when you work for WWE, everything you do is under a magnifying glass. It doesn’t matter if you did anything wrong, if you did something right, if it was in between, it’s perception.”
“And the WWE, unfortunately, if a situation happens, and they don’t like the perception, they make their decision. But I’m not going to argue with them. That’s their company. I don’t run it. I just worked there. I’m thankful that they gave me the time that they did and that’s all I can say. I have zero hard feelings. I don’t know if I can say that for them. They might have some hard feelings, but I feel like they’re pretty professional. They’re more about that paper, that money. So, I don’t think there’s any hard feelings. I mean, they did have to pay me for three months when I didn’t work. That was on them. They fired me.”
Matt Riddle saw CM Punk return to WWE, and he’s not surprised. Again, he made a point to say how much money WWE will make by bringing the Second City Savior back.
Some were shocked to see WWE terminate Matt Riddle’s contract due to a series of incidents that strained his relationship with the company. He burned too many chances with upper-management, and even those who previously defended him were unable to continue doing so.
We will have to see what is next for Matt Riddle. He certainly has options on the table, as he is already taking dates.
