Kota Ibushi Alleges Scam by Clinic Before Controversial NOAH Match

Kota Ibushi might be one of the most beloved stars in pro wrestling but his recent track record has been disappointing, to say the least. At the beginning of this year, he was part of one of the worst matches in NOAH history, and Ibushi has now broken his silence on the matter.

In the main event of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘The New Year 2024,’ Naomichi Marufuji and Kota Ibushi engaged in a singles match lasting over 30 minutes. Despite an injury scare when Ibushi grabbed his ankle after an attempted moonsault to the outside, he continued with the match and ultimately emerged victorious.

The match received substantial criticism on social media, with numerous fans noting that Kota Ibushi appeared to be grappling with various injuries throughout the entire bout. It didn’t help that Ibushi was rushed to the hospital after the bout after breaking his ankles.

The Japanese star took to Twitter and broke his silence on the matter, as he apologized for the terrible match. Ibushi then claimed that he was scammed by a medical facility called C5 Clinic. Additionally, Ibushi expects Pro Wrestling NOAH to release information about his injuries.

“I was scammed by a place called C5 Clinic, which is spread all over the country, as I mentioned before. Take care of yourself, please. I think NOAH will release information about my surgery, fractures and dislocations, etc. I’m sorry for the match, everyone. It’s all my fault.”

NOAH’s Director Narihiro Takeda previously stated that further information on Ibushi’s condition will not be available until he receives a diagnosis at the hospital. Only time will tell whether Ibushi will take an extended absence from in-ring competition to heal his injuries in the end.
