Vince McMahon gave up his position in WWE when he retired due to a hush money scandal in 2022. Then, the Chairman of the Board returned to usher in a company sale. Through it all, the company went through a massive change, but their deal with Saudi Arabia stood firm.

Mansoor had been part of four consecutive WWE events in Saudi Arabia, but his status changed when he was released from the company in September 2023. Before his release, there were three Premium Live Events in Saudi where he wasn’t booked.

During a Café De René livestream appearance, Mansoor shared his initial concerns about being let go when he wasn’t booked for Elimination Chamber 2022. He believed he wasn’t seen as the ‘Saudi guy’ anymore, and fearing the end of his WWE journey, he approached Vince McMahon seeking guidance on securing a spot in the next Saudi event.

It was said that Vince McMahon addressed Mansoor’s absence from the company’s Saudi Arabian cards. It was said that Vince McMahon was quite blunt about how they wanted bigger stars for those shows in Saudi Arabia.

“When Vince (McMahon) was telling me about the male model stuff, he was like, ‘Listen, I wanna address why you’re not on the Saudi shows anymore’ and I was like, ‘Yes, please. Did I do something wrong?’ And he’s like, ‘No. They just communicated to me that they don’t really need you on the show. They want stars.’ I was like, ‘Oh!’ F*ck. Like, damn! I see how it is. I think for them, they just wanted the big names.”

Mansoor and Mace were not brought to Saudi Arabia as Maximum Male Models. Many fans noticed this interesting fact, as WWE did not feature Mansoor like a returning hero in Saudi Arabia after his gimmick was changed to a Male Model gimmick.

Only time will tell what is next for Mansoor and Mace, but Vince McMahon is no longer making any calls that can change their career at this point. We will have to see how many dates they pick up in the future, and whether any of those bookings will bring Mansoor back to Saudi Arabia as a returning hero for his home country.
