Dolph Ziggler was released from WWE back in September and he has since laid low when it came to a pro wrestling destination. That changed after he appeared at Wrestle Kingdom 18 today and now Ziggler has unveiled his new gimmick.
Wrestle Kingdom 18 has lived up to expectations with thrilling surprises for fans in attendance and it also featured a bunch of special surprises for their fans as well. This includes Ziggler making his shocking appearance at the event.
Dolph Ziggler wasn’t done there as he ended up having a confrontation with David Finlay following the latter’s IWGP Global Championship win. Following his appearance at the NJPW event, Ziggler took to Twitter and uploaded a promo video which revealed his new gimmick.
As seen in the video, Dolph Ziggler was a wanted man in the back of a police car before the zombie apocalypse broke out. It also included Ziggler having an all out brawl with a zombie in a bar, where he superkicked the zombie’s head off. In the end, it was made evident his new character is that of an old school action hero, signifying his Hollywood influence.
Ziggler will be squaring off against Puerto Rican wrestling veteran Ray Gonzalez at the promotion’s annual Euphoria event on January 6th, 2024. We’ll have to wait and see if he will end up feuding with David Finlay for the IWGP Global Championship in the future.
