Chris Jericho’s name has been full of controversy in recent memory. Allegations about inappropriate behavior and NDAs flooded the internet wrestling community on the morning of AEW Worlds End. It’s business as usual for Jericho, as his cruise series will still set sail.
Although AEW hasn’t done any more show on Chris Jericho’s cruise since the first time they did that, the cruise is still going. They announced a list of matches for the upcoming cruise as well, and Chris Jericho is featured.
Chris Jericho’s fifth Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Cruise is going down on January 26th through the 30th, 2024. So, they are preparing to set sail.
The upcoming event will feature a high-stakes matchup between The Don Callis Family’s Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis against the formidable trio of Chris Jericho, Paul Wight, and Mike Bailey. Additionally, the Jericho Cruise Oceanic Championship Title Shot will be on the line as Michael Oku takes on Mike Bailey in a crucial bout.
Another exciting tag team contest will see Dante Martin, Darius Marin, and Action Andretti face off against Komander, El Hijo Del Vikingo, and Penta El Zeo M, promising intense in-ring action. As you can see, there is a trend of AEW stars on this cruise, but no female talent has been announced as of this writing.
The Jericho Cruise Oceanic Championship Match, featuring Matt Cardona defending his title against the winner of the clash between Michael Oku and Mike Bailey, was also added to the show.
We will have to see what happens in the future, because Chris Jericho doesn’t seem phased by the accusations. Tony Khan called the “unsourced rumors,” and he left it at that.
While Chris Jericho was backstage for AEW Dynamite this week, he did not appear on the show. He also was not used in the Rampage television taping event that took place after the show.
