The Rock recently returned to WWE, but he made a career’s worth of memories prior to that. The People’s Champion’s first run in the company included a ton of memorable moments, but Al Snow will never forget about one specifically.

Pro wrestling gimmicks need to be protected, and Al Snow realizes that now. Sadly, he didn’t speak up years ago, and he let The Rock squash a gimmick that had a lot of momentum at the time.

While speaking to Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Al Snow stated that he regrets ever letting The Rock do a People’s Elbow on Head. He was told by Paul Heyman to protect the Head gimmick, but that just didn’t happen with The Rock, and he wishes he wouldn’t have allowed it to happen.

Shortly after, I did a match with The Rock. I remember distinctly Paul Heyman telling me don’t ever let anyone touch the Head, because it’s no different from Jake Roberts’ snake in the bag, if everyone walks over and picks up the bag it doesn’t mean anything. I’m literally just getting started back in WWE, and I let The Rock People’s Elbow the Head. I should have never have done that. I mean, those are mistakes that just put you right off the rails.”

We will have to see what is in the future for The Rock and Al Snow. As OVW’s fearless leader, Al Snow is still helping create content for that company, as The Rock continues with his world domination of Hollywood and beyond.

The Rock may become US President in the future, but we will always have a memory about him giving Head a Rock Bottom.
