AEW Dynamite Results (1/3/2024):

A video of Samoa Joe from World’s End play where he says he keeps his promises. He says at Grand Slam, MJF did everything to steal from him. He says MJF cheated last time but he turned everyone he loved against him. He says he will always take what is his. He says he will take everything away from anyone who tries to take the title away from him.

Adam Cole’s music plays. The music stops and a new theme song plays and he walks to the ring with his group.

Roderick Strong asks the fans to shut and listen to Adam Cole. Cole says he finds it so ironic that people were disgusted at what happened at World’s End. He calls the fans stupid. He says they are not the bad guys. Cole says MJF is a narcissist who only cares about himself. He says most of the locker room will thank him.

Cole says MJF is gone and he’s never coming back. He says there is a lot of reasons why he did what he did. He says MJF would’ve done the same thing to him but he beat him to the punch. He says he never needed MJF. Cole says he broke his ankle because of MJF.

Cole says he made the fans fall in love with MJF. He says this is about destroying a man to his core. Cole says MJF is dead. Cole says the Undisputed Kingdom is alive. He says their gold is to win a championship. He says Strong is going to go after the AEW International Championship. Cole says Wardlow is going to go after the AEW World Championship and when the time is right, Wardlow will forfeit the title and give it to him.

Cole congratulates Joe and says it was a pleasure doing business with him. He says he hopes Joe is the champion when Wardlow challenges for the title. Cole says AEW needed change and they gave to the fans. He says The Devil is here to stay.

Jay White’s music plays and he comes down to the ring. White says he is impressed and happy to see Cole hasn’t lost his edge. He says he is a big fan of what he did to MJF but he doesn’t like the fact that he was attacked. The Gunns come out and brawl with the Kingdom and Strong. Wardlow also gets involved and the numbers are too much. The Acclaimed’s music plays and they come out to chase the Undisputed Kingdom away from the ring. Bullet Club Gold leaves the ring.

A video of Eddie Kingston plays where he says the Continental Classic gave him a lot of confidence. He says the best part of this was that he went against Jon Moxley. He says he has so much confidence that it will take someone special to take the title away from him.

AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Dante Martin

Orange Cassidy’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. Dante Martin’s theme song plays and he walks to the ring.

The match begins and Cassidy takes him down. Martin rolls up Cassidy but he can’t get the pinfall. Cassidy rolls out of the ring. Dante goes after him but Cassidy gets back into the ring and hits a suicide dive. Cassidy sends Dante into the barricade. Cassidy runs around the ring and hits a dropkick on Dante. Dante comes back with a suplex.

*Commercial break*

Dante hits a suicide dive on Cassidy. He sends him into the ring and hits a crossbody. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Cassidy with a superkick. Cassidy stomps Dante in the corner. Cassidy hits a tornado DDT. Cover! 1……2…..kick out. Cassidy climbs the top rope and hits a diving DDT. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out.

Cassidy goes for the beach break but Dante catches Cassidy with the knee. Cover! 1…..2…kick out. Dante hits a senton on Cassidy. He climbs the top rope but Cassidy rolls out of the way. Dante walks the rope and hits a splash. Cover! 1……2…..kick out. Dante goes for a dropkick and misses. Cassidy hits the Orange punch for the win.

Winner: Orange Cassidy (c)

Private Party’s music plays and they come out. Marq introduces themselves and he says they have been keeping tabs on the tag division. They say the tag division has been missing them. Isiah Kassidy says they are putting every tag team on notice.

Renee interviews Toni Storm who says she was excited to come here until she realized this was New Jersey. She says she won’t be around for Mariah May’s match.

Renee interviews Swerve Strickland. Prince Nana says Daniel Garcia is a respected competitor. Swerve says Garcia is getting this match because he is after championship gold. He says Garcia is going to go through pain. He says he wants to win championship gold in 2024. He says he will be coming for championship gold and he asks Samoa Joe to be ready.

Mariah May vs. Queen Aminata

Mariah May’s music hits and she comes out to the ring. Queen Aminata is in the ring.

The match starts and Mariah knocks down Aminata. She hits her with the tiharas and follows it with a dropkick. Aminata rolls out of the ring.

*Commercial break*

Aminata slaps Mariah. She knocks her down. Aminata with a snapmare and a kick to the back. She then hits a running knee strike. Aminata attacks Mariah in the corner. Mariah comes back with a slingblade. She hits the May Day for the win.

Winner: Mariah May

Renee interviews Mariah May who says she can’t believe she won her AEW debut. She says she wanted to be a wrestler since she was a kid and the fact that she competed in AEW is surreal. She says she hopes Toni Storm was watching the match. She says her only regret was that they had to do this in New Jersey.

Deonna Purrazzo’s music plays and she comes down to the ring. She says she is from New Jersey and if Toni Storm doesn’t want to be here then they don’t want her here. She says she has a message for Storm that she will find her because she is All Elite and they are in the age of the Virtuosa. Mariah says she is not the messenger and she asks her to tell Storm herself. May slaps her but Deonna kicks her down and May rolls out of the ring.

Christian Cage’s music plays and he comes out with Killswitch, Nick Wayne, and Shayna Wayne. Shayna demands the fans pay respect to Christian Cage. Cage says it has been 200 days since he won the title. Tony tries to interrupt him but Cage warns him about interrupting him.

Cage says he went through a war at World’s End and he needs to thank Shayna Wayne for being understanding. He then thanks Nick Wayne who put his body on the line. He says Copeland tried to end his career by putting him through a table. Cage then thanks himself for putting the final nail in the coffin. The crowd chant for Luchasaurus.

Cage says he is going to address Copeland for the final time. He says he has beaten him twice and he needs to go to the back of the line. Cage says he is superior to Copeland. He says he doesn’t have a soul and that’s why he is still TNT Champion. Cage says what happened at World’s End is just a glimmer of what he is capable of doing to retain the title. Cage says the TNT Championship is the most important title in the company. He says they are the faces of AEW now and forever.

Renee interviews Ruby Soho, Harley Cameron, and Saraya. Saraya asks if Soho likes it. Soho says she appreciates her help. Cameron says she would do anything for them. The Outcasts leave.

Darby Allin vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Konosuke Takeshita’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. Darby Allin’s music hits and he comes down to the ring.

The match starts and Takeshita knocks down Darby. Takeshita with a back body drop. He goes to work on Allin. Allin knocks him down and Takeshita rolls out of the ring. Darby goes for a suicide dive but Takeshita catches him with the knee. Takeshita hits a rolling German suplex on the ramp.

Allin with a stunner off the top rope. Takeshita rolls out of the ring and Darby hits a suicide dive on him. Darby goes for the code red but Takeshita plants him. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Takeshita goes for a knee strike but Darby rolls out of the ring. Takeshita goes for a knee strike but he crashes into the barricade. Darby hits the coffin drop off the top rope.

Takeshita gets back in the ring and Darby hits the code red. Cover! 1…..2….kick out. Darby goes for the coffin drop but Takeshita gets his knees up. Takeshita hits a German suplex. He hits another suplex to Darby. Takeshita with a clothesline to Darby. Takeshita with a big boot in the corner. He sets up Darby in the corner and hits an avalanche German suplex. Takeshita with the running knee strike for the win.

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita

Renee interviews Takeshita who says something in Japanese. Don Callis says that next week they are challenging Darby Allin and Sting to a match.

Eddie Kingston’s music plays and he comes out.

Number one contender’s match for the Continental Crown: Trent Beretta vs. Brian Cage vs. Bryan Keith vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo

Trent’s music plays and he walks to the ring. Brian Cage’s theme song plays and he comes down to the ring. Bryan Keith is in the ring. El Hijo Del Vikingo’s music hits and he walks out to the ring.

The match begins and Cage knocks down Vikingo. He then knocks down Trent and Keith. Vikingo kicks Cage and knocks him out of the ring. He then dives onto him. Keith with a high boot to Trent. Vikingo with a hurricanrana to Keith. Cage enters the ring and slams Vikingo. Trent with a jumping knee and a half-and-half suplex. Trent dives onto Cage. Cage comes back with a brain buster.

*Commercial break*

Vikingo with a springboard dropkick. He attacks Cage in the corner. Vikingo climbs the top rope but is stopped by Keith who knocks him off. Cage also climbs the top rope but Trent hits him with a German suplex. He then hits a running knee strike. Cover! 1….2…..Vikingo makes the save. Cage with an F-5 on Keith. He then powerbombs Trent. Cover! 1…..2….kick out. Danhausen gets in the ring and curses Cage. Keith and Vikingo knock down Cage. Vikingo with a moonsault on Cage. Cage suplexes Trent and hits a diving headbutt. Cover! 1…..2….kick out. Trent comes back and drives Keith to the mat for the win.

Winner: Trent Beretta

Renee interviews Matt Menard who is interrupted by Hangman Page who says he is here to beat someone up. He is looking for Samoa Joe and if he can’t find Joe, then he is going after Adam Cole.

Daniel Garcia vs. Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland’s music plays and he walks to the ring. Daniel Garcia’s theme song plays and he comes down to the ring.

The match begins and Swerve takes down Garcia. Garcia comes back and takes down Swerve. Garcia with a knee to the midsection. He knocks Swerve off the apron and sends him into the barricade. Prince Nana and Garcia have a dance-off. Garcia sends Swerve into the post. Nana distracts Garcia and Swerve takes advantage. Swerve hits him with a Death Valley driver on the apron.

*Commercial break*

Swerve attacks Garcia in the corner. Garcia comes back and attacks Swerve in the corner. He then hits a dropkick and follows it with a suplex. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Swerve with a backbreaker. He then drives him to the mat. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Swerve sends Garcia into the barricade. Swerve gets in Matt Menard’s face. Garcia attacks Swerve and locks in the sharpshooter on the table and they fall down.

Garcia gets back in the ring. Swerve climbs the top rope but is stopped. Garcia with a superplex. Swerve turns around and hits another suplex. Swerve hits the Swerve stomp. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out. Swerve hits the house call and follows it with the JML Driver for the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

After the match, Prince Nana hits Garcia with a low blow. Matt Menard attacks Swerve but he low blows him. Nana gets on the mic and says Swerve is going to be the next AEW World Champion. Hangman Adam Page’s music plays and he comes down to the ring. Both men exchange strikes. Security personnel come out to separate them.
