The Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW was filled to the brim with action and solid moments that fans loved. The interesting thing about the show was the fact that it had a lot of picture-in-picture commercials and now the USA Network responded to fans complaining about that fact.
The January 1st, 2024 edition of Monday Night RAW took place at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California and was headlined by Seth Rollins defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre.
The biggest surprise was undoubtedly The Rock returning to WWE television for the first time in months. However, fans didn’t fail to notice the fact that there were a lot of picture-in-picture commercials during matches.
The complaints came to such a point that even the official USA Network Twitter account had enough, so they stated that fans initially wanted those kinds of ads and then they didn’t. The account also added that they aren’t sure if picture-in-picture commercials will be a regular occurrence.
”First you guys want Picture in Picture. Now you don’t? Help us out here…#WWERaw
No promises unfortunately but we do like to break it out every now and then.”
AEW has been using picture-in-picture commercials since the very beginning for their weekly live shows and no one has necessarily complained about them. Regardless, we’ll have to see if picture-in-picture commercials will become a regular thing for Monday Night RAW.
