Ahmed Johnson held the distinction of being the first-ever African American to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. That’s all in the past now as he is mostly known for his ongoing beef with Booker T over the past few years. In fact, Johnson challenged Booker T to a live debate recently.
In case you were not aware, Booker T and Ahmed Johnson do not have the best of relationships. In fact, Booker T previously made it clear he really doesn’t like Ahmed Johnson.
The recent feud between Booker T and Ahmed Johnson started when Booker T allegedly ignored Johnson at an airport. This led to a series of heated exchanges, with the NXT commentator referring to The Pearl River Powerhouse as a “notorious liar” and a “lowdown piece of you know what.”
Booker T then threatened a defamation lawsuit against Ahmed Johnson last year if the latter tried to spread false narratives about his time in prison. While speaking on the Cheap Heat Productions Podcast, Ahmed Johnson challenged Booker T to a debate after all their issues. He also claimed that he might reveal an alleged secret about Booker’s time in jail if Booker T keeps insulting him.
“I would love to come on the show and have a debate with him or whatever they wanna call it. I’m all game for that. Come on Cheap Heat and let’s say what we gotta say and let’s get it settled one way or the other. What he said was really bad and not true at all. There was no truth in what he said, and that really upset me, man.
I’m not sure today why he started it, but he started it and if he wanted to finish, I’d like him to keep his mouth shut, otherwise I’m gonna throw the lawsuit out the window and say what I got to say as far as the little secret goes.”
Ryback might not be the only former WWE Superstar that Booker T wants to stay away from at conventions. Regardless, it is unlikely Booker T and Ahmed Johnson will bury the hatchet anytime soon.
