AEW lost a few people over the past twelve months, and it appears that they are going to lose a top star to close out 2023. Andrade appears to be going elsewhere, and he left on a high note.
Andrade may be leaving AEW soon enough, as Worlds End was reportedly his final night with the company. Andrade made it clear on Wednesday at AEW Dynamite that he doesn’t want to be in the company anymore. He is expected to leave, and his exit is “less than pleasant.”
During the media scrum after AEW Worlds End, Tony Khan was asked about Andrade leaving AEW. He had good things to say about Andrade, and he believes that Andrade is leaving AEW on a high note.
“He’s been a huge performer in the Continental Classic. He also wrestled on the other shows. I wanted to keep him involved at the top. If we were able to reach an agreement, certainly he’d be someone we’d slot him in a prominent position. I think we did everything we could to show that we value him.”
“If this is gonna be the way he’s gonna leave AEW, talk about leaving on a high note with Miro tonight.”
We will have to see how WWE uses Andrade, if he does go back to his former company. Triple H may have big plans for him, but only time will tell how that pans out.
Tony Khan seemed very positive about Andrade’s time in AEW. He may not have reached the heights that some believed that he could have in the company, but he certainly did a lot during his time in AEW. He also got to put Miro over on his way out.
