Samoa Joe made it very clear that he plans on changing the AEW World Title design. The Burberry title is no more, and Joe promised to present a respectable title. Now, we have a few new details.

Sean Sapp noted being Fightful’s paywall that they, “haven’t heard if the title will be a new design, but there have been steps taken to make some alterations to it.”

Tony Khan also recently presented a custom title to the Clemson Tigers. It was noted that the side plate option for the new title will be a thing.

Clemson defeated Kentucky in the AEW TaxSlayer bowl and Tony Khan presented Clemson with a customized world title with Clemson side plates. We’re told that there are at the very least side plate options for the upcoming version of the championship. AEW also had plates produced for Kentucky had they won the game, as highlighted in the social media post of the title belt.

It was noted that the new version of the title that the outlet has seen shows the AEW logo on a black background. We will have to see when this title debuts.

Samoa Joe was obviously not a fan of MJF’s Burberry World Title. Now, he will have one of his own, and one that he can defend all over the place. We will keep an eye on this story, and so many more, here at Ringside News.
