WWE SmackDown did not air a live episode this week. They wrapped up 2023 with a best-of episode. Now we know how many fans tuned in to see what they brought.
According to Wrestlenomics, the December 29th episode of WWE SmackDown brought in an overnight average of 1.32 million viewers for their best-of episode. This was down from the previous week’s average.
Logan Paul’s United States Title win and more were featured during the December 29th episode of SmackDown. It was quite a walk through the past year, and many fans liked re-living those moments. It didn’t seem to help viewership much though, but it did draw more than their FS1 episodes have.
The December 15th episode of WWE SmackDown drew an overnight viewership of 2.154 million, with 667k of those in the 18 to 49 demographic. That number was down slightly from last week’s number.
The December 8th episode of WWE SmackDown drew 2.29 million viewers, with a .57 in the 18 to 49 demographic. The December 1st episode of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 1.952 million viewers, with a .53 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This number was up significantly from the previous week’s average on FS1.
The November 24th episode of WWE SmackDown drew 789,000 viewers, with a .24 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This number was down from the last week’s average, but they were also on FS1 that week, but even that average was low for their FS1 viewership.
We will have to see how WWE books the blue brand from this point on. They certainly brought quite a show this week, and there is no off-season in WWE. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more!
