Sami Zayn experienced a successful year, starting as a member of The Bloodline and eventually wrestling Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of the Elimination Chamber premium live event in February in his hometown.

Sami Zayn went on to win the Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39. Initially, it was anticipated that Zayn would be absent from WWE for the remainder of December and the beginning of 2024. However, plans changed after WWE incorporated an injury spot in Zayn’s match with Drew McIntyre on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw.

The company announced Zayn’s “injury” as a “partially torn meniscus” with no specified timeframe for his return. Reportedly requesting time off, Zayn’s request was granted by WWE, and he made his return for the post-Christmas tour. He actually returned ahead of schedule this time.

During a recent house show in Toronto, Canada, he defeated Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Finn Balor in a Last Man Standing match. During that match, Zayn went ham with a kendo stick, and then the unthinkable happened.

Zayn spiked his kendo stick on the mat when he was done with it, and it went flying into the crowd. A fan video captured a fan snatching the kendo stick out of mid-air. Then security took it away from them.

The crowd booed when security took that kendo stick. Then Sami Zayn took action. In true babyface fashion, Zayn slid to the outside, and he took that kendo stick from the security guard and handed it back to the fan.

That act from Sami Zayn received a great ovation from the crowd. Now, it appears that fans has a souvenir from the show he could have never bought at the merchandise booth. You may check out the clip below.
