Mercedes Mone is gearing up for her anticipated return to the ring, but the real question is where she will wrestle next. While fans keep guessing, she is throwing a curveball by securing rights to new trademarks.
The former Sasha Banks, who left WWE and later went to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, filed for trademarks such as “Mone Wear,” “Time Is Mone,” and “Mone Talks” on December 22 through the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The new filings were done by famous pro wrestling patent attorney Michael E. Dockins. The new trademark covers entertainment and clothing purposes. So, Mercedes may be planning to cash in on her name with a clothing line.
Mercedes Mone’s journey after WWE included winning the IWGP Women’s Championship at NJPW Battle in the Valley. Then, that ride was abruptly stopped during a match for the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, resulting in ankle surgery. Willow Nightingale won that match in an impromptu move.
We will have to see if Mercedes Mone makes her way back to WWE. It seems to be a real possibility at this point. For more updates, keep checking back with us here at Ringside News.
