Professional wrestling is one of the best things a person could do, should they be passionate about it. Many start very young and build themselves up over the years. Unfortunately, we have some sad news to share as UK indie wrestler Kurtis Chapman has passed away at the young age of 26.
On the morning of December 29, 2023, Revolution Pro Wrestling’s official Twitter account took to the social media platform and shared the depressing news that Kurtis Chapman, also known as “Mad Kurt,” passed away at the age of 26.
”We, at Revolution Pro Wrestling are absolutely heartbroken to report the loss of our dear friend Kurtis Chapman.
We watched Kurtis grow from a child to a young man who loved professional wrestling and continued to excel in all aspects of his life.
One of the most gifted technical wrestlers, charismatic characters and magnetic personalities.
He will never be forgotten”
Chapman had been a fixture in the UK independent wrestling scene for the past eight years, participating in promotions such as RevPro, Progress, IPW, and various minor promotions.
Notably, he held the RevPro British Cruiserweight Championship for six months in 2018. Throughout his career, which began with RevPro in 2014, Chapman cultivated a significant following on social media, gaining popularity for his tweets and establishing an online persona that added to his fame.
Kurtis’s last wrestling appearance was in June when he successfully defended the Resurgence Arthouse Title at a Resurgence show in Leicester. Details regarding his passing remain unknown at this time. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Chapman’s loved ones during this sad time.
