AEW has a lot of things going on as they close out 2023. Tony Khan has taken some innovative approaches as well, but not everything has panned out to be a smashing success so far. Tony Khan is very happy with how things are going so far. He also has some help along the way.
Tony Khan may be the final say in AEW creative, but he does have some help. He enlisted in some people that he trusts, and we will have to see what their plan for Worlds End is.
During a media call to discuss the 2023 AEW Worlds End PPV event, AEW President Tony Khan shared insights into the booking process for the December 27th, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite.
“You had a great group with Bryan Danielson, Mike Mansury, Will Washington, Jimmy Jacobs, Sonjay Dutt, Sarah Stock and Dean Malenko and several others that were in my office throughout the day at various points. Bryan had his match, people were in and out, I think everybody had great points and there were a number of other people.”
Tony Khan went on to say that the things AEW is doing are going to work. They have a new coming up, and he sees big things on the horizon.
“I think the experiments we’ve been doing are working and I have a better sense of where to go and what to do going into 2024 than I ever have been.”
AEW did a lot over the last year, and they’re not finished yet. We will have full coverage of December 30th’s Worlds End pay-per-view, whatever they have in store for fans.
Tony Khan needs all the good creative ideas that he can get, because AEW is at a crossroads next year. Their deal with Warner Brothers Discovery could be up in the air. Only time will tell how that shakes out when the chips all fall.
