AEW has inked deals with many former WWE Superstars, and some of them are from the Attitude Era. This week before Dynamite, Scotty 2 Hotty shocked fans as he showed up for AEW fans to team with The Acclaimed.

AEW had a lot of things planned for Dynamite this week. It was quite a show, and we have full coverage of the entire show.

Scotty 2 Hotty made his AEW debut in Orlando at New Year’s Smash. Now, Sean Sapp has reported new details about that big surprise behind Fightful’s paywall.

The AEW coach teamed with the Acclaimed and Daddy Ass to beat the Gunns, Matt Menard and Jake Hager. Though he’s wrestled on the independents semi-regularly, it was his first AEW match. We’re told that he’s been considered for matches in the company in the past, and has been open to performing for them in addition to his coaching duties.

It was noted that, “AEW has the rights to use the original Too Cool theme music, and utilized it for the appearance. Those we spoke to said that it was a part of the music library that AEW licensed to get access to the Hardy Boyz theme. Hardcore and Crash Holly’s original theme was also included in that.”

It appears that AEW has some plans for Scotty 2 Hotty. If anything, it’s great to see that he is still on top of his game, and able to surprise a crowd with a big pop they were not expecting.
